Wimbourne Community First Responders
Thank you to everyone who supported the Wimbourne Community First Responders at fundraising events held at two Co-Op stores in April and August this year.
The money raised from generous donations from the general public has been used to purchase three sphygmomanometers.
A sphygmomanometer, also known as a blood pressure monitor, or blood pressure gauge, is a device used to measure blood pressure, composed of an inflatable cuff to collapse and then release the artery under the cuff in a controlled manner and a mercury or mechanical manometer to measure the pressure.
As part of the critical initial observations, an automatic blood pressure monitor is more resilient and robust compared to manual monitoring.
To support our Community First Responder volunteers you can donate through our Virgin Money Giving web page.
