Ivybridge Community First Responders

 

A huge thank you to Ray Foss (SWASFT Governor) and the Ivybridge Lions Club for providing a donation of £2,500 to the Ivybridge Community First Responder group.

​

The gifted money will go towards the purchase of an emergency lifting chair to enhance the level of patient care they deliver.

​

Equipping a Community First Responder with an emergency lifting chair will enable early assistance to a patient who has experienced a non-injury fall, and reduce potential complications associated with long lies.  This will also help ensure the most appropriate allocation of emergency services resources.
